Overview
Midstride is designed around a simple principle: your health data belongs to you, and only you. This app does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or health information on any server. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any data. Midstride has no account system, no server, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, we cannot see what you log, and we have no way to access your information — because it never leaves your device.
Health & Symptom Data
Any information you enter in Midstride - symptom ratings, cycle dates, hot flash events, appointment notes, or anything else - is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it (unless you’ve created a backup — see below).
Backups & Data Export
If you choose to back up your data, Midstride creates a file that you save and control entirely yourself - to the Files app, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or anywhere else you choose. We have no access to this file, no copy of it, and no visibility into where you store it or whether you create one at all.
App Lock
If you enable Face ID app lock, authentication is handled entirely by Apple’s Face ID system on your device. Midstride never has access to your biometric data — we only receive a yes/no confirmation from the operating system.
Purchases
Midstride offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock additional features. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive, see, or store your payment information, billing details, or Apple ID - that information is handled solely by Apple in accordance with Apple’s own privacy practices.
Third-Party Services
Midstride does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third party involved in any part of the app’s operation is Apple, through standard App Store and StoreKit purchase processing.
Children’s Privacy
Midstride is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and since we do not collect information from anyone, this applies equally to all users regardless of age.
Your Rights
Because Midstride does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us, there is no data for us to provide, correct, delete, or transfer on your behalf - you already have complete control over your information at all times, on your own device. If you wish to remove your data, you can do so at any time using the app’s Reset Local Data feature, or by deleting the app.
Data Security
Since your data never leaves your device, its security depends primarily on your device’s own security features (such as your device passcode and Face ID). We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date and using a passcode or biometric lock.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes - for example, if a future version of Midstride adds a new feature that involves data leaving your device - this page will be updated, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
